Amgad Emam was an Egyptian professional ballroom dancer, choreographer, and instructor who started his dance journey at a very early age. His biggest passion to ballroom dance appeared in his 16th, his remarkable contribution to putting the ballroom dance on the Egyptian dance scene lasted for 25 years.
He established his own ballroom dance school “ Life Dance School “ from November 2011 - till April 2019.
His dance school over the years, became one of the biggest dance schools in Egypt through his full dedication to introducing fine art and his massive efforts to accomplish his strong belief that dancing changes people's lives and makes them a better version of themselves.
He opened his school doors to everyone who wanted to learn, improve, achieve and challenge him/herself in an academic atmosphere full of dance passion and love of hard work that always lead to pure joy and happiness.
Amgad Emam’s dance school was the one and only dance school in Egypt that successfully held 10 Dance Showcases in Egypt under the name "Soul of Dance showcase in Egypt ".
His school participated in different Egyptian international dance festivals.
His dance library is also full of amazing dance performances and choreographies in different dance showcases, festivals, theatres and television.
People consider his efforts a kind of a reborn to the Waltz, Foxtrot, Rumba, Cha-cha and the rest of the ballroom dances in Egypt dance scene after ballroom dance became an old history in our culture back to the period between the 40s and 60s, in our black and white movies or when foreigners opened their ballroom dance schools in Egypt back in the50s.
Amgad Emam became an icon in the Egyptian dance scene, his dance colleagues, his friends, his students and his fans named him “ The Happiness Maker “ because of his presence and impact in peoples lives on all levels, both professionally and personally, was one of a kind and will remain forever in peoples hearts and souls.
Mentioning ballroom dance in Egypt was, is and always will be connected to his name and his memory.
